This is a Robert Woolsey & Bert Wheeler appreciation blog.
A comedy team formed in 1929, Bert Wheeler & Robert Woolsey made 23 pictures together spanning over the course of 8 years, until Woolsey's untimely demise during 1938.
Despite their tremendous popularity during the 1930s, they would end up receiving no recognition throughout later years, and future generations, as their films were never syndicated on Television in the '50s unlike the Stooges & Laurel & Hardy, who were able to continue growing a fan base. W & W's pictures & dialogue were simply too "risque", and just not meant to target a young viewing audience.
